How does our partnership work?

  • Our partners in France will prepare your visit by allocating half days or a full days following the number of properties selected to view.
  • We strongly recommend that you consider taking approximately 30 to 40 minute viewing time per property including the driving distance between each houses.
  • Most of our agents will meet you at the agency and will be attentive to your words and will escort you to each relevant property. They will be aware of any important information discussed between us prior your departure.

It is really important to notify any cancellation or lateness in due time to allow our agents to contact all owners of the property selected, but also to reorganise their schedule.

What we need to know from you?

  • Provide us with a clear understanding of your requirements and your abilities as a buyer. We will ensure that all properties selected on our website are still on the market. If not, due to a sale or other circumstances, you will be informed. We will also inform you about any additional properties matching your criteria that could be suggested by our partners at the time of your visit.
  • Do let yourself the time to travel and to view houses. Pressure and rushing around has never been a good combination in viewing a number of properties in a really short period of time. It should be an informative and pleasurable experience.

To give us at least one week notice would be fully appreciated especially during the half term periods where most agents become quickly fully booked. Be aware of the French bank holidays and Sundays which are traditionally non working days.

How it works...

  • Selection of properties
  • We will arrange appointments following your date of availabilities and itinerary.
  • When the appointment is confirmed by yourself and our partners in France, we will send you a confirmation letter indicating the date and time of your appointment(s), references to be viewed, name, address, telephone of the agency.
  • You will be informed of all relevant information coming to our knowledge prior your departure as well as we will expect to be informed in due time of any changes affecting your appointments, your itinerary or your situation.
  • You will meet our local agent(s) at the time and date prearranged.
  • After your viewing, we will request some feedback to act in your best interest. If you are interested in one of the property viewed, it is always good to speak up either directly to the agent or to us as we will keep you informed about the property status.

Few situations you may encounter after your viewings:

  • If you are considering making an offer, please do not hesitate, most of the prices advertised can be negotiated. It will be forwarded to the owners indicating that you are seriously interested. Consequently, it could give you priority against other potential buyers.
  • If your offer is accepted, a “compromis de vente” will be drawn which, once signed by both parties, will allow you a 7 days cooling off period before to be definitively committed. In collaboration with our agents, French Meridian will assist you during the whole process.
  • If you are still searching for a property on your return, we will follow you as long as you will feel it is necessary and keep you updated of any new properties that would match your criterias.
